Forearm Problem?

Lateral Epicondylalgia

What?

A common overuse injury that may present as pain at the elbow, specifically on the outside of the “point” of your elbow closer to thumb.

What else?

More serious cases may result in numbness or tingling down the forearm. Seek further treatment to rule out nerve pathology.

How?

Repeated or prolonged use of wrist extensor muscles such as eccentric loading, computer use, or racquet sports.

Similarly, golfing or throwing can result in elbow pain on the inside (Different diagnosis).

Where to start?

Rest, if possible, or adjust daily habits to correct potential cause. SMFR can be useful to relieve muscle pain along forearm.

Try these three.

Wrist extensor muscles stretch, and flexion muscles stretch, and hand tendon glides.
